Invisalign are custom made series of aligners for orthodontic patients. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. A new set of aligners are worn approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. One of the main advantage of Invisalign is that are not noticeable by people, however, they have to be worn at least 22 hours a day. In complex situations, your orthodontist can combine Invisalign and conventional braces to achieve your dream smile.
Have you been dreaming of getting a straighter smile but don’t want to go through conventional orthodontic treatment with metal wires? Invisalign might be exactly what you need.
The Invisalign system uses an innovative approach to straighten your teeth using a series of virtually invisible, custom-made removable aligners to gradually move your teeth to the right position, instead of the fixed metal wires used with traditional braces.
Depending on the severity of your teeth misalignment and the desired result, your teeth will be gently moved into place by the custom aligners over a period of 9 to 24 months. Aligners are clear plastic trays that apply gentle pressure to crooked teeth, causing them to turn or move slowly.
The aligners should be changed every two weeks during the course of the treatment. Your dental appointments are brief, and the treatment is less uncomfortable than other orthodontic solutions. Considering that Invisalign treatment is also virtually invisible, it is usually a top choice of treatment for teens, adults, and professionals looking for a straighter smile.

Step 1: Consultation
During the consultation for your dental problem, the dentist will take photos, digital scans, and X-rays, or a dental impression to know the specifics of your case and to create your treatment plan. If Invisalign treatment is right for you, measurements of your teeth will be taken and sent to the lab to design your Invisalign treatment plan.
Step 2: Creating your 3D treatment plan
The lab technicians use records sent to them, along with your treatment prescription, to create a customized 3D treatment plan for you.
Step 3: Aligner Fabrication
Once your treatment plan is ready, the lab technicians manufacture the first few sets of aligners for your Invisalign treatment to commence. Your custom aligners will be sent to your dentist’s office for fitting on your next visit.
Step 4: Start your Invisalign treatment
Your dentist should give you the first series of custom-made aligners – usually 3-4 sets at a time. You will wear the aligners every day, and change them after every two weeks.
Step 5: Progress monitoring
Depending on the sets of aligners given, you will be required to visit your Invisalign doctor every 6-8 weeks to monitor the progress of the treatment and to receive the next series of aligners.
Step 6: Use retainers
After finishing your Invisalign treatment, you will be required to wear retainers to help maintain the new position of your teeth.
Invisalign treatment allows you to achieve the perfect smile you have envisioned before that special occasion. Since the treatment uses clear aligners that are barely noticeable, you can be yourself without trying to hide your smile for the entire duration of the treatment.
Invisalign is so effective that the results can be visible as early as four weeks into the treatment. And since the aligners are virtually unnoticeable, most people won’t even know that you are undergoing treatment.
There are few Invisalign treatment appointments that work on your schedule. Most dental visits are brief, with a quick progress check every 6-8 weeks.
Since the aligners are removable, you have the freedom to consume your favorite foods and drinks. The removable aligners also make it easier to maintain proper oral hygiene by letting you brush and floss normally, compared to when you have traditional braces. If you are an athlete or lead an active life, you can safely wear your aligners without fear of sharp wires and brackets piercing your gums and mouth.
If you feel that your smile is not as good as it can be because of:
Invisalign treatment effectively straightens your teeth predictably as you will be able to see the final result even before you start wearing the clear aligners.
